Ronaldo Requested to sign 40 Years old Defender
Football fans everywhere were abuzz with the news that Cristiano Ronaldo had asked Al-Nassr captain to sign the 40-year-old Portuguese defender Pepe from FC Porto. It would reunite Ronaldo and Pepe as teammates after their stint together at Real Madrid. According to Portuguese football transfer expert Pedro Almeida, Porto was hoping to extend the contract with Pepe. However, the player had also reached the end of his contract, opening the door for Ronaldo’s wish to come true.
The news only added to the momentum behind Ronaldo’s switch from Manchester United last November to Al-Nassr. As it was, the former England giant were unable to offer him the competitive playing environment he desired and it made sense for Ronaldo to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
