 Chennai Super Kings Vs Lakhnow Super Giants, Highlights 

The sixth match of Indian Premier league season(IPL) 2023 was the clash between Chennai super Kings (CSK) and Lakhnow Super Giants(LSG) in MA Chidambaram Stadium .

Lakhnow Super Giants won the toss and opt to bowl first and grab their second victory. The players of both teams were

The match started with Conway and Gaikwad on the field to open for Chennai super Kings. Both of them had a great start just like the first match. They scored boundaries in power play and added 79 runs in just 6 overs. They again had a partnership of 100+ runs and Gaikwad scored his second half century in this season. Gaikwad scored 57 runs of 31 balls and Conway scored 47 runs of 29 balls. After the two openers fell the team run rate dropped and wickets fell frequently. But after the joint effort to Dube, Rayudu and the finishing sixes of Dhoni , Chennai Super Kings ended up with a total of 217 runs in cost of 7 wickets.

Lakhnow Super Giants needed 218 runs in 120 balls to get their second victory in this season. The started with KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers and both of them lived upto Lakhnow Super Giants hope. They scored 80 runs in the power play but Mayers fell at the end of power play scoring 53 runs in just 22 balls. Rahul aslo fell shortly by scoring just 20 runs. Wicket kept falling for Lakhnow but runs were constantly added to the scoreboard. Pooran and Stoinis tired their best and brought Lakhnow back on track but they couldn't keep this for long . Unfortunately infront of such a massive target Lakhnow couldn't keep up and lost the match.

Chennai super Kings won the match by 12 runs and registered their first victory in this season.

After the match 

Dhoni: Terrific high-scoring game. All of us were thinking how the wicket would be. It was the perfect first game that could happen. I thought it would be much slower. But it was a wicket where you could score runs. I was quite surprised with the wicket. But we'll have to see if we can produce a wicket like this game after game. Fast bowling we need to slightly improve. Need to bowl according to the conditions. What is important is to keep an eye as to what the opposition bowlers are doing. One more thing is they'll have to bowl no no-balls or extra wides. Or they'll have to play under a new captain. It will be my second warning and then I'll be off. Only reason we've scored those runs is if the surface is nice.
